Everyone on the island watches the sunset. Most people watch it from a bar stool, a balcony, or a crowded stretch of sand, which is fine. But there is a smaller club of people who watch the sun go down from the seat of a kayak, with the water turning copper around them and the coast going quiet. This tour is for that club.

Aruba's evening light is a show that rarely cancels: steady trade winds, open horizons, and a sun that goes down over the water. From the beach, you watch it. From a kayak, you are inside it. The sea picks up every color the sky produces, and because you sit inches above the surface, the whole scene happens at eye level.
Our sunset departure is built around exactly that moment. You launch in full daylight, settle into the paddling while everything is easy to see, and then golden hour arrives while you are already out where it looks the way it should.
How the sunset tour works
The sunset tour departs every day at 4:30 PM on the Mangel Halto route and 5:00 PM on the Sea Glass Island route, and runs 2.5 hours, which means the light does its full performance while you are on the water and you come ashore in the early evening with the sky still glowing behind you.
Depending on the departure you book, the evening route runs from Savaneta toward Sea Glass Island, or through the sheltered lagoon at Mangel Halto. Your booking confirmation tells you exactly where to meet: Savaneta near the Flying Fishbone restaurant, or Mangel Halto Beach. The daytime version of that same crossing, with the morning and afternoon departures, is the Sea Glass Island kayak tour.
Your guides are local, trained by the founder, a veteran Aruban ranger with decades on Aruba's south coast, and they guide in English, Spanish and Papiamento.
Why we keep the group small
Small, and we do not stretch it for a busy evening. That is the whole policy, and it changes the entire feeling of the evening.
A small group means the guide knows everyone's name before the first paddle stroke, the pace fits the people actually present, and the quiet parts stay quiet. Most of our sunset guests come in twos, and the tour is shaped for that: unhurried, personal, and easy to enjoy without shouting over a crowd.
