Kayak tours in Aruba: small groups, local guides, three departures a day
You have options for a kayak tour in Aruba, and you should compare them. This page tells you exactly what our tours are, what they cost, and what we do differently, so you can decide in the time it takes to finish a coffee.
Two waters, one south coast
Vale's Rambo Adventures runs guided kayak and snorkel tours on Aruba's quiet south coast, on two routes worth arguing over.
The Sea Glass Island route launches from Savaneta, near the Flying Fishbone restaurant, and crosses to a small island where the waves have spent decades polishing old glass smooth. The Mangel Halto route works the sheltered lagoon and reef at Mangel Halto Beach, where mangroves calm the water and the snorkeling gets interesting. Both tours run 2.5 hours. Read more about the Sea Glass Island kayak tour or the Mangel Halto kayak and snorkeling tour.
Three departures, every day
We run the full day, daily: 8:30 AM for the calm morning water and fresh light, 1:00 PM for those on holiday time, and a sunset departure (4:30 or 5:00 PM depending on the route) for the sunset kayak tour, our favorite child, which puts you on the water for golden hour.
Three daily slots means the tour fits your trip instead of the other way around. Early flight out tomorrow? Take the morning. Slow breakfast people? The afternoon exists for you. Celebrating something? Sunset.
What makes our tours different
Small groups, always. Your guide learns your names, the pace fits the actual group, and the coast stays as quiet as it deserves to be. We would rather run two small tours than one crowded one.
A local, trilingual crew. Our guides are from here and guide in English, Spanish and Papiamento. The founder is a veteran Aruban ranger with decades on Aruba's south coast, and he trained every guide on the crew personally. You are not being read a script; you are being shown someone's home water.
A real child rate, said out loud. Children from 6 to 12 pay $69.99, not the adult price. Families should not need to email anyone to find that out, so it is printed here: $69.99.
Instant confirmation. When you book, you are booked. Your confirmation arrives immediately, with the meeting point and time, no waiting on a reply to find out whether your holiday morning is settled.
Free cancellation to 24 hours. Plans move on vacation. Cancel free up to 24 hours before your departure, so reserving early is all upside.
Prices, plainly
Adults: $89.99 at our summer rate. Children 6 to 12: $69.99. Tours last 2.5 hours, the minimum age is 6, and every departure runs as a small group. That is the whole arithmetic.
How to book
Book online and your confirmation lands instantly, including your meeting point: Savaneta near the Flying Fishbone for Sea Glass Island tours, or Mangel Halto Beach for the lagoon and reef. Booking late in the game? Message us on WhatsApp at +1 786 971 2221, and a human will tell you what is available, often for the same day.
Questions before you book
We publish an answer to every question guests actually ask, instead of making you email for it. Prices in full on the Aruba kayak tour prices page. Still choosing between the two routes: Sea Glass Island or Mangel Halto. Weighing a paddle against a boat day: kayak tour or catamaran snorkel cruise. Want the whole departure to yourselves: private kayak tours. Want Rambo guiding you himself, on a private evening: The Rambo Expedition. Mangrove channels and the reef they feed: the mangrove kayak and snorkeling tour. Arriving on a ship: kayak tours for cruise passengers.
And the practical ones, answered in full: do you need to know how to swim, what to bring, age limits and kayaking with kids, rain, wind and weather, seasickness and motion comfort, what languages our guides speak, and pregnancy, mobility and accessibility.
And the two questions people ask before they book anything: what Sea Glass Island actually is, from the geology to what you may carry home, and how the crossing compares with Mangel Halto, Baby Beach and Rodgers Beach, the three south coast beaches you can drive to.
Questions guests ask
Which tour should we pick?
First visit to the south coast: Sea Glass Island in the morning. Snorkeling is the priority: Mangel Halto. Traveling as a couple or celebrating: the sunset departure, 4:30 or 5:00 PM depending on the route.
How big are the groups, really?
Small, on every departure and at every time slot. It is how we run, not a busy season suggestion, and it is why your guide knows everyone's name.
Can we book last minute?
Often, yes. Online booking confirms instantly while seats remain, and for same day plans the fastest answer is WhatsApp: +1 786 971 2221.
What if we need to cancel?
Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before your departure. Inside 24 hours, message us on WhatsApp and we will do our human best to find a solution.
